University of Toronto MBiotech DHT Interview

The MBiotech DHT interview is a in-person, 30-minute, traditional panel-style interview. There will usually be 2-3 interviewers per student. The interviewers will have access to your transcript, letter of intent, CV/resume, and your YouTube video (if applicable).

If you are out of country (ie. international students), or out of province, the program may offer to conduct your interview over Zoom.

There are 2 main components to your interview: science + business. Based on previous interviewee feedback, the allocation of the 2 components completely depends on your interviewer, sometimes the science component will take 10 min and business component will take 20 min, sometimes the opposite.

While the interviewers don't have a strict agenda, it is important to demonstrate your scientific/business qualities within the questions you are asked. Take every question as an opportunity to explain why you are a great candidate by explaining why you are fluent in science/quantitative methodologies, and why you are interested in business.

Below, I will break down each interview component and walk you through some questions that may be asked. In addition, I will offer some strategies on how to best prepare for each component.
