Internship and Practicum Locations of McMaster MSc ehealth and University of Toronto MHI

The experiential learning component of MSc ehealth and MHI is arguably the most prized part of each program. Students studying their degrees, often without prior ehealth / digital health field experience, yearn for an opportunity to get their foot in the door to work in a digital health informatics setting.

For many, the 8 months of internship (McMaster MSc ehealth) and 4 months of practicum (University of Toronto MHI) is the primary reason why they entered the master’s program in the first place.

The location where you intern is very important – many students, upon graduation, will continue in a full-time capacity either at where they interned (if they receive return offer) or at another organization in the same employer category.
